SNV is a not-for-profit international development organization founded in the Netherlands nearly 50 years ago. SNV has built a long-term, local presence in 38 of the poorest countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America. SNV works with local based development partners, other civil society organizations, government institutions and businesses to develop the capacities of local communities. Through its works, SNV links local communities to basic service providers to increase their income and to empower local communities to fight against poverty and take ownership of their own development.

Job Description

SNV Tanzania has been established in country for more than 50 years. We have a main office in Dar es salaam and regional offices in four other locations including Mwanza, Mbeya, Arusha, and Dodoma. SNV would like to request temporary drivers who will assist in case the main driver will not be available. The temporary driver will be contracted within specific period time of an assignment

Time Frame

The temporary drivers database will cover the period of 2 years from 10th November 2021 – 30th March 2023.

Location

The temporary drivers are needed for all SNV location office as well as the head office. The call if for Dar es Salaam, Arusha, Dodoma, Mwanza and Mbeya offices

Qualifications

The application should make sure the following are included in their applications:

  • Application letter
  • Curriculum vitae which will include three referees
  • Form Four Certificate
  • NIT / VETA certificate or other
  • Valid driving license of class c
  • Reference letter from two previous employers
  • National identification card (NIDA)
  • Police clearance
  • Local government introduction letter (residence letter)
  • The applicant must the reside on one the regions of our office locations or head office mentioned above.

Applications must be received no later than 4:00 PM east Africa time on the 30th October 2021. Late submissions will not be accepted and SNV Netherlands development organisation reserves the right not to evaluate a nonresponsive or incomplete application. Telephone requests will not be honoured.
