The Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Tanzania has announced job openings for youth with Degree, Diploma, Crtificate, Form Six, and Form Four education.

Applicant Qualifications

a) Be a Tanzanian citizen by birth.

b) Have graduated from Form Four or Six from the year 2018 to 2023.

c) For Form Four and Six applicants as well as those with a Diploma, be between the ages of 18 and 25.

d) For Form Four applicants, have a pass with grades ranging from Division I to IV. For applicants with a Division IV pass, have a score of 26 to 28 points.

e) For Form Six applicants, have a pass with grades ranging from Division I to III.

1) Diploma and Degree graduates must be between the ages of 18 and 30.

g) Be not less than 5 feet 8 inches tall for men and 5 feet 4 inches tall for women.

h) Have a national identity card or number from the National Identification Authority (NIDA).

i) Be able to speak Kiswahili and English languages.

j) Be physically and mentally fit as certified by a government doctor.

k) Be unmarried or single with no child.

l) Have never used drugs.

m) Be willing to attend initial police training.

n) Not be employed or have ever been employed by any other government institution.

o) Be willing to work as a police officer anywhere in Tanzania.

p) Be willing to finance himself/herself at all stages of the recruitment process if called for interview.

q) Have no tattoos.

r) Have no criminal record.

s) For applicants with Degree (NTA level 8), Diploma (NTA level 6) and Certificate (NTA Level 5 or NVA Level 3) qualifications, must have the disciplines specified in this advertisement.
