JOB TITTLE: ICT OFFICER II (PROGRAMMER)- 5 POSTS

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To develop back end front end connectivity;
  • To design, implement and test database;
  • To ensure software purchase are implemented timely;
  • To Code, test, debug and install application programs;
  • To install, configure, and update anti-virus software;
  • To alert users on various security, risks, threat, and vulnerabilities;
  • To implement security mechanism and controls in computer system;
  • To test network equipment and devices;
  • To implement network security guidelines;
  • To validate, check, verify dates and times input to and output from information systems;
  • To actively participate in ICT related meetings to ensure that all decisions taken meet
  • TPC operations and security requirements;
  • To analyze user requirements;
  • . To Support system users for effective utilization of deployed systems;
  • To Assist in Troubleshooting and resolving routine software applications problems;
  • To perform testing of systems configurations; and
  • .To carry out other duties related to his/her field as assigned by immediate supervisor.

 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

 Holder of Bachelor Degree in one of the following fields: Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution.

1.0.4. SALARY SCALE: PS 5.1

JOB TITTLE: ICT OFFICER II (SECURITY)- 1 POST

JOB TITTLE:ORDINARY SAILOR II -06 POSTS

  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To perform general cleanness of vessel;
  • To ensure that equipment, utensils and place of work are clean.
  • To maintain rescue boats;
  • To stand lookout watch;
  • To perform painting works of the vessel;
  • To direct loading and offloading of cargo;
  • To perform lashing and rope works;
  • To perform laundry duties;
  • To maintain gangway watch to prevent unauthorized person from boarding ship;
  • To respond as emergency team member during vessel emergencies;
  • To resolve or refer passenger problems to the mate; and
  • To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the superior.

 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Holder of Form IV Certificate of Secondary Education (CSEE) or Form VI Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education (ACSEE).
  • Possession of Basic Mandatory Certificates as per STCW95 and Rating Forming Part of Navigation Watch (RFPNW) and Sea Service of not less than one (1) year in a relevant field.

2.0.4 EMPLOYMENT STATUS – Permanent and Pensionable terms.

2.0.5 REMUNERATION– MSCS 2.1 with fringe benefits as approve by Permanent Secretary,President’s Office Public Service and Good Governance.

JOB TITTLE: MOTORMAN II – 6 POSTS

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To participate in maintenance and repair duties throughout the vessel;
  • To conduct regular check of all parameter readings;
  • To inspect drive motors and generators;
  • To watch fuel and lubrication oil purifiers;
  • To check steering machineries and safety barricades and report for needed adjustments;
  • To participate in boat and fire drills and in any emergence scene;
  • To participate in cleaning and painting of machineries; and
  • To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the superior

 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Holder of Certificate of Secondary Education (CSEE) or Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education (ACSEE).
  • Possession of Basic Mandatory Certificates as per STCW95 with Rating Forming Part of Engineering Watch (RFPEW), and Sea Service of not less than one (1) year in a relevant field.

2.0.9 EMPLOYMENT STATUS – Permanent and Pensionable terms.

2.0.10 REMUNERATION– MSCS 2.1 with fringe benefits as approve by Permanent Secretary,

President’s Office Public Service and Good Governance.

JOB TITTLE: PLUMBER II -1 POST 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To perform Technical in Plumbing or Fit and Turning duties under close supervision;
  • To take care of tools and equipment;
  • To keep the work place tidy;
  • To carry out minor repairs and maintenance;
  • To report maintenance problems to senior staff;
  • To assist in fitting and turning; and vii. To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Holder of Certificate Secondary Education Examination (CSEE).
  • Possession of NVTA Trade Test Grade III or equivalent from a recognized Institution.

 EMPLOYMENT STATUS – Permanent and Pensionable terms.

 REMUNERATION– MSCS 2.1 with fringe benefits as approve by Permanent Secretary, President’s Office Public Service and Good Governance.

JOB TITTLE:ACCOUNTS ASSISTANTS II -12 POSTS

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To bank cash and cheques;
  • To prepare Payment Voucher;
  • To maintain Petty Cashbook and Register;
  • To dispatch voucher lists and other accounts documents to the Banks;
  • To maintain incoming and outgoing cheque register;
  • To perform clerical duties which are acceptance, delivery, ticket sales, passenger and cargo bookings;
  • To Scrutinize freight and passenger sales return;
  • To ensure safe custody of valuable documents;
  • To perform any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Supervisor.

 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

 Holder of certificate in Accounting from Institution/University recognized by the Government, or ATEC I Certificate from NBAA or any other related field recognized by NBAA.

2.0.20 REMUNERATION– MSCS 2.1 with fringe benefits as approve by Permanent Secretary, President’s Office Public Service and Good Governance.
