Job Location :Head Office

Job Purpose:

Responsible for leading, developing and executing a digital strategy for Retail Banking Products, by creating, implementing, supporting relevant innovative and comprehensive digital solutions and services to various customer segments and partner ecosystems in line with the bank’s MTP 2025 and beyond.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop digital strategy for the Retail Bank products.
  • Drive profitability for digital solutions
  • Maintain an understanding of external competitive digital developments and their impact on our business and innovation strategy.
  • Build alliances and partnerships to generate revenue streams through monetization of digital solutions
  • Build alliances for developing and establishing robust digital ecosystem
  • Lead self-service e-KYC based digital solutions (Savings, Fixed deposits, etc.)
  • Optimize the business by lowering costs through digitization of processes.
  • Control and periodically check operational risks and workflow in conjunction with operations
  • Drive the system towards service quality standards in an efficient operation where risks are well controlled (through product process re-engineering).
  • Manage risks associated with digital solutions.
  • Development of Robust Training Models on Digital Products for Branch, Sales and Customer Experience teams.
  • Design and transform processes that will give the customer a truly transformative digital experience without compromising
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Digital Financial Services knowledge
  • Clear understanding of AML & Compliance
  • Commercial awareness
  • A detailed understanding of the financial services industry, advisory, regulatory, and professional bodies.
  • Understanding of legislation related to financial services and channel delivery
  • In-depth understanding of customer segmentation theory and practice.
  • Strong understanding/focus on digital technologies and platform ecosystems and how they are impacting the Retail banking industry
  • Strong experience in consumer facing product management and design thinking
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong research and analytical skills.
  • Process optimization skills.
  • Self-motivated with leadership abilities.
  • Good communication and presentation skills

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in in Computer Science, Economics, Banking & Finance or related fields.
  • Master’s Degree in Business or Technology field is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in financial services, fast-paced and dynamic environment with at least 3 years in digital financial services
  • At least 3 years of senior leadership experience in a successful financial Institution
  • Experience in Fintech or MNOs is of an added advantage
  • Exposure to digital business models like e-commerce, B2B, B2C marketplaces is desirable
