Msalala District Council is one of the six councils in Shinyanga Region that was officially established on July 1, 2013, after being announced in Government Notice (GN) No. 363. The District Council headquarters is located in Buganzo village in Ntobo ward. The main economic activities are agriculture, mining, and small-scale businesses.
