Job Vacancies at Judicial Service Commission (JSC) July 2024

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) is a constitutional body established under Article 112(1) of the Constitution of the United Republic of Tanzania of 1977. The JSC is mandated by Article 113 of the Constitution and the Court Administration Act, Cap 237, with various responsibilities, including the recruitment of court staff of various cadres across Tanzania.

The Judicial Service Commission invites applications from qualified Tanzanian citizens who are willing to work in the Tanzania Judiciary in various regions and districts. The following positions are available:

General Guidelines

  1. Citizenship: Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens.

  2. Electronic Application: All job applications must be submitted electronically through the JSC website: https://www.jsc.go.tz/. Hard copies will not be accepted.

  3. Application Letter: The application letter should be addressed to the Secretary, Judicial Service Commission, P.O. Box 8391, Dar es Salaam.

  4. Filling Out the Application Form:

    • Upload all educational and training certificates and their corresponding results as required in the application form.

    • Upload a birth certificate.

    • Upload a recent passport-size color photograph to the application form.

    • Provide the National Identification Number (NIDA).

    • Upload other documents as directed by the form depending on the job.

  5. Eligibility: These are new employment opportunities; therefore, public servants with permanent employment are not eligible to apply.

  6. Age Requirement: Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 45 and have no criminal record or imprisonment.

  7. Placement: Successful candidates will be employed by the Tanzania Judiciary and may be assigned to any station with vacancies.

  8. Foreign Education: Applicants with foreign education must have their certificates validated by TCU/NACTE. Failure to do so will result in their applications not being processed.

  9. Previous Dismissal: Applicants previously dismissed/terminated from public service should not apply.

  10. Ineligibility: Applicants who do not meet the specified qualifications and do not adhere to the above conditions will have their applications disregarded.

  11. False Information: Applicants providing false information, such as age, education, or previous employment, will be dismissed from employment if discovered, including facing severe legal action.

  12. Disability: Applicants with disabilities will be given priority. Applicants should specify their disability type in the application letter.
