Job opportunities SUA September 2024

by Ajira

Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA), in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, is implementing a program aimed at engaging young people in agriculture, known as Building a Better Tomorrow (BBT). This program is executed through various strategies and projects along the agricultural value chain. One of its primary goals is to create 20,000 job opportunities for youth and women through internships, establish 12,000 economic activities at the village level, and promote large-scale farming (block farms) by 2030.

As part of the strategy to strengthen extension services in the country, the Ministry of Agriculture plans to implement a special extension services program through recent graduates (BBT Agricultural Extension Entrepreneurship Scheme – BBT AEES). Through BBT-AEES, two thousand (2000) positions are available to be filled by agriculture graduates to provide extension services in cotton farming on a temporary basis.
