Job Position Administrative and Human Resources Officer at Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS)
Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) is inviting applications from suitably qualified Tanzanians to be considered for employment to fill a vacant post in the Sickle Pan-African Research Consortium (SPARCO)-Tanzania project;
ADMINISTRATIVE AND HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER – 1 POST
- Minimum Entry Qualifications
Holder of Bachelor degree in Business Administration or related qualifications from a recognized Institution.
- Duties and Responsibilities
Administration
- Arrange logistics for SPARCO Tanzania meetings including keeping meetings calendars, sending reminders to members as well as minutes/ resolutions taking and distribution
- Responsible for ensuring office utilities such as bills for Water, Electricity, Internet, Rent are paid on time.
- Work with project coordinator in preparing paperwork for Ethical Clearance for SPARCO Tanzania research studies and renewal for ongoing where applicable
- Organizing SPARCO Tanzania events, workshops and training as per required standards.
- Responsible for arranging travel logistics for SPARCO Tanzania staff including ticket bookings and preparations for subsistence allowances as per government circular.
- In collaboration with Project Coordinator, prepare the MOUs between project and partners/institutions and satellites
- Reports and grant management
- Prepare, collect and submit reports (monthly, quarterly and annually) to Project coordinator
- Participate in grant activities and Research Performance Progress Report (RPPR) writings
Human Resource
- Process contracts for SPARCO Tanzania new staff and renewal of contracts for ongoing staff where applicable.
- Responsible for recruitment processes of SPARCO Tanzania staff through drafting adverts, managing applications, preparing for interviews, interview reports writing and placement at the office.
- Process other HR forms (Annual leave, sick leave, compassionate, maternity and paternity)
- In collaboration with Project Coordinator, coordinate and conduct annual appraisal to project staff and submit to PI
- Prepare and collect monthly timesheet from personnel and submit to Project Coordinator
- Keep and maintain project activities records in collaboration with Data Coordinator Finance
- In collaboration with Finance Officer, handle petty cash enquiries and retirements for SPARCO Tanzania.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
