Position: Production Shift Supervisor
Reporting to: Production Superintendent
Location: Tanga
Key responsibility
- Responsible for ensuring production quality constantly monitoring the manufacturing process to assure that plant objectives are met, and timetables kept. Works with operators to assure that all production requirements are met to avoid interruption of production and ensures plant safety standards

Principal Accountabilities
- Monitor the operation of the plant and take corrective measures; Analyse production to determine where improvements may be made which will contribute to plant profitability, reports for corrective actions and achieve production targets
- Prepare production reports; Ensure accuracy of the data and reports submitted timely
- Stocktaking of raw materials; Ensure that the stock records of the raw materials are correct and work out all variances and report any finding
- Ultimate responsible for safe working practices especially at areas of responsibility.
- Environment: Ensure environmental procedures are complied with, identify, and manage the environmental aspects and impacts in his/her area and instil environmental awareness culture in his/her area.
- Any other duties as may be assigned
Education
- Bachelor of Science in chemical and Processing Engineering/Mineral Processing Engineering or its equivalent.
Knowledge and Specific Experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in cement Manufacturing process.
- Understanding of operation maintenance and production strategies
- Planning and organizing skills
- Problem solving skills
- Sound computer and MS Office skills
- Knowledge of cement plant equipment, including operating systems to do proper plant over-inspection and fault-finding Analytical skills
- Fluent in English
- Practical Knowledge of Excel, Word & E-mail programs
- Computer Literacy
- Reporting skills
- Industry knowledge and dynamics
- Customer relations.
