Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) was established on the 1st July 1984 by the Parliamentary Act No.6 of the same year, which was repealed by the Universities Act No.7 of 2005 from which the SUA Charter was granted in 2007. The vision of the University is to be a leading University in the provision of quality knowledge, skills and innovations in agriculture and allied sciences. GENERAL CONDITIONS
i. Applicants must attach an updated Curriculum Vitae (CV) having reliable contacts; postal address/post code, e-mail and telephone numbers;
ii. Applicants should apply on the strength of the information given in this advertisement;
iii. Applicants must attach their certified copies of the following certificates:
ï‚· Postgraduate/Degree Certificates and relevant Transcripts
ï‚· Diploma/Diploma/Certificates;
ï‚· Form IV and Form VI National Examination Certificates;
ï‚· Professional Registration and Training Certificates from respective
Registration or Regulatory Bodies, (where applicable);
ï‚· Birth certificate;
ï‚· Other relevant testimonials
ï‚· Attaching other documents such as partial transcripts is strictly not acceptable.
iv. Attaching copies of the following certificates is strictly not accepted: –
ï‚· Form IV and form VI results slips;
ï‚· Testimonials and all Partial transcripts;
v. An applicant must upload a recent Passport Size Photo in the Recruitment Portal;
vi. An applicant employed in the Public Service should route the application letter through his respective employer;
vii. An applicant who is terminated from the Public Service for whatever reason should not apply;
viii. An applicant should indicate three reputable referees with their reliable contacts;
ix. Certificates from Foreign Examination Bodies for Ordinary or Advanced level, Secondary
education should be verified by The National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA);11
x. Professional certificates from foreign Universities and other training institutions should be verified by The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) or National Council for Technical Education (NACTE);
xi. An applicant with special needs/case (disability) is encouraged to apply and is supposed/advised to indicate in the portal;
xii. A signed application letter should be written in English and Addressed to the Deputy Vice
Chancellor – Planning, Finance and Administration, P.O. Box 3000, SUA – MOROGORO.
