Qualification Required:
1. Must have a valid Tanzanian License (CPL/ATPL)
2. Multi-Engine Land Rating and Appropriate Type ratings
3. 250 Total Flying Time of which 20 HRS Multi-Engine Aircraft
4. Level 4 of proficiency in the English language
5. Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal communication skills
6. Good coordination and physical fitness
7. ATR 42/72 rating is an added advantage

JOB TITLE: LICENCED AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (9 POST)
Role Purpose Statement :
Carry out and certify all inspection, repair, replacement tasks on aircraft & aircraft systems and perform certification within his/her dual scope of approval in accordance with TCAA and company regulations at an optimized cost for the business whilst upholding high safety standards to maintain schedule integrity
Responsibility:
- Exercising the license/approval privileges in relation to the accomplishment of scheduled, unscheduled maintenance and rectification of defects to ensure maintenance is accomplished to the required standards and the operating programme is achieved in an efficient and safe manner.
- Recording and issuing of Certificates of Release to Service for the work accomplished in accordance with the current Maintenance Data, Company procedures and associated Regulatory requirements, for timely release of aircraft to maintain schedule integrity
- Perform line/base maintenance, defects assessments, troubleshooting and rectification in accordance with company and manufacture procedures for safe and timely release of aircraft within planned downtime for continued airworthiness.
- Reviewing the work and resources allocated and required to ensure expedient rectification of defects utilising allocated staff.
- Advising the Maintenance Manager of any impending service disruptions, problems or areas of concern that may have an impact on the operating programme. Keeping the Maintenance Manager informed of all work performed by him during his duty period.
- Carry out and certify duplicate inspections on safety critical systems of the aircraft and engines to ensure system integrity
- Ensuring staff under your immediate control adhere to published technical and safety requirements defined in published manuals and other publications.
- Defining priorities to the staff allocated to you to ensure that efficient use of resources are channeled to an on time and safe flight departure.
- Ensuring documentation and its certification is completed in a timely manner and to the defined procedures to meet Company requirements.
- Identify and make requisition of the required parts
- Ensure that replacement parts and components are of an approved type, correctly certified and released and are physically inspected prior to fitment to the aircraft or component.
- Ensure that removed components are correctly handled, labelled and blanked, and correctly channeled to the designated area/section.
- When supervising the work of others, ensuring that acceptable standards of workmanship and quality are maintained and the correct tools are employed to accomplish the task.
- Ensure arriving aircraft are met by either the Certifying Engineer or Technician and crews are suitably debriefed to ensure defects are accurately defined and recorded.
- Ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded accurately & signed for in order to maintain correct & up to date aircraft history /data
- Reporting and compilation of technical delay reports in a timely manner, reporting significant defects, discrepancies, hazards, incidents, accidents and events as required.
- Co-ordinate aircraft towing to and from hangars by communicating with the tower or apron control and operating the necessary aircraft systems for safe and timely movement of the aircraft
- Ensure all safety precautions are complied with and actively participate in the Company SMS
- Adhere to the company safety, health and environmental policy
- Supervise and develop technicians for improved competency/ efficiency
- Undertaking such other duties as may be reasonably assigned by supervisor

Qualification Required:
- Diploma / Degree in the relevant engineering discipline and an approved apprenticeship program
- Dual LWTR plus approval on at least one aircraft type
- EASA B1 and/or B2, or ICAO type II License with the following type ratings ATR 42/72
- Experience in line and/or base maintenance environment
- Recent experience on ATR 72/42 with not less than 6 months of certification records in the past 2 years (verification letter and/or logbook signed/stamped will be requested)
- In depth knowledge on aircraft systems
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Inspection and troubleshooting technique
- Supervisory skills
- Fluent in English
- Knowledgeable on TCAA regulations
- Knowledgeable on PW procedures
- Human factors knowledge
