The Ministry of Lands, Housing and Human Settlements announces to all Tanzanians that there are eighty-seven (87) vacancies for the position of Personal Secretary III under temporary employment terms in District Land and Housing Boards in the following districts

1. Qualifications of Applicants:
- Must be a Tanzanian aged between 18 and 45 years.
- Residents of the district where the vacancy exists will be given priority.
- Those with qualifications and experience relevant to this position will be given priority.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
2. Academic Qualifications:
- Must have completed Form IV or VI with a pass.
- Must hold a Diploma in Secretarial Studies from the Tanzania Public Service College or other recognized institutions.
- Must have passed the Grade Three examination with a typing speed of 80 words per minute in both Swahili and English, as well as a computer proficiency certificate from any recognized institution.
3. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Typing various documents and reports for the District Land and Housing Board, including judgments, case proceedings, and letters.
- Receiving visitors, addressing their inquiries, and directing them to the appropriate departments.
- Maintaining records of events, appointments, visitors, meeting dates, work trips of the supervisor, and other scheduled work, and informing the supervisor as required.
- Providing services and overseeing the operational activities of the District Land and Housing Board offices.
- Ensuring that the Board offices are clean and tidy at all times.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor in accordance with the Public Service Regulations.
4. Salary Scale: TGS B 1
5. General Terms and Conditions:

- All applications should be accompanied by copies of academic certificates, Form IV or VI certificates, birth certificate, and two recent passport-sized photographs with the name written on the back.
- Transcript results for Form IV, VI, or college will NOT be accepted.
- Those whose contracts expire on 31 August 2024 are eligible to apply.
