Job description

Tasks of national expert 1

• Lead advisor for delivery of work packages C, D and E:
• C: development or revision of guidance documents based on MoFP’s internal audit strategy
• D: improving knowledge management practices in the public sector internal audit system
• E: improving audit committees’ performance in the public sector internal audit system
• Provision of strategic advice to Internal Audit General Division IAGD
• Key linkage to IAGD, responsible for proactively maintaining relationship with partner
• Coordination of short-term experts delivering services in line with agreements with IAGD and internal audit

Qualifications

• Education/training: Fully qualified and certified auditor (CIA) or accountant (CPA or ACCA)
• Language: Advanced English (CEFR B2) and proficient Swahili (CEFR C1)
• General professional experience: 15 years of professional experience in the areas
  of public sector auditing or public financial management
• Specific professional experience: 5 years of professional experience as internal auditor
• Leadership/management experience: none required
• Regional experience: 10 years’ experience in Tanzania
• Development Cooperation (DC) experience: none required
